Chinese Tutoring

They offer Chinese Tutoring on the 22nd Floor, Monday through Friday.  If the patron goes in to the East Asian Reference Collection, they need to go through the door on the right.  It will be the room straight ahead in that hallway.

Learning Resource Center Hours

First, check their website for the hours HERE.

The general hours are from 1:00-10:00pm Sundays through Thursdays. They have a disclaimer on their website saying that they follow the UMass Academic Calendar for day changes and closings, and will obviously be closed if they library ever closes for any reason.

They have different hours during breaks and the summer, so if someone wants help send them to the 10th floor to speak with their receiptionist.

Calculus Tutoring Center

There is a Calculus Tutoring Center located in LGRT 110. It is a resource for students taking Math 131, 132, and 233. The Center is staffed by instructors and TAs on Monday-Thursday from 10am-3pm. Click HERE for tutor schedule.

LRC during Reading Days and Finals

Finals Week tutoring and group tutoring is offered by appointment only! To make a finals appointment, please call the LRC front desk (413-545-5334) or stop in to room 1020 W.E.B. DuBois Library

Where do people apply to be tutors? - Dan

The tutors work on the 10th Floor in the Learning Resource Center. They can either check up there to apply or there is also information and an application online at the LRC webpage. Check it out LRC.

Where is the location for getting help with English?

I checked the Learning Resource Center page and they do offer tutors for some English classes. But there is also the Writing Center in the Learning Commons where students can get help with their writing assignments. So I guess it depends on what kind of help with English that they need.
