Renewals can now be done at the Self Check-Out Machine

Patrons can now also renew their books at the Self Check Out Machine.  To Renew, they just need to click the renew option, slide their card, then choose and renew.  It is pretty intuitive, however if you want to demonstrate it please let me know.

Is it possible to renew a book without coming to the Library?

Yes! From the Library home page click on the option called "My Account" on the upper left. Then Login. with your net ID and password. From there you can renew books at any of the 5-Colleges. You can also see your requests for items.

If they want to renew in person they can at the LC Desk in the Learning Commons. But they must have the books with them.

Can a Smith student renew their Smith books here at the W.E.B. Du Bois Library?

They can renew on line by choosing the option of "My Accounts" on the front page, then click on the "Login" next to "My Account (Five College Libraries Borrowing). From there they can renew the books they have out.

Can you renew books with out them with you?

A patron can renew online without the books with them. If they need the Library staff to renew the books they must have the books with them.
