Where are the computer labs?

I think some students use the phrase "computer lab" because that is what they were called in high school.  I think they just mean where are there computers.  I would just send them either downstairs to the Learning Commons. If they are looking for a specific IT Classroom, have them check the schedule or direct them to the correct floor.

Two students were looking for their classes and didn't know the location. What should I do?

First, have them check SPIRE and see if you recognize the assigned location.

If that doesn't work I always have them check the IT lab schedule that we have in the lobby. That lists the classes held in the IT classrooms. The Supervisors could also check LibWire for them. Those are the only two places that we list classes. If none of those work you can maybe ask if they have this written down somewhere. Sometimes the student's class is actually not in this building or they have the wrong date.

These are not classes but they also have Supplemental Instruction sessions offered through LRC. Check the schedule (located right of the Tutoring schedule) at the LRC homepage.

The IT Computer Lab schedule is changed by US every single morning and is placed in the lobby for patrons to see

Update on IT Daily Classroom Schedules

We get the IT Daily Classroom Schedules weekly on Thursday for the whole week. Don't forget to put them in the top right drawer of the desk. (This is also the "Sign Holders" drawer) Attention weekend students: We are also now getting schedules for Saturday and Sunday! So if you open any day of the week don't forget to change the IT sign. Thanks!

Update on IT Daily Classroom Schedule

On Thursdays we will receive the IT Daily Classroom Schedules for a week. They should be put in the "Sign Holder" drawer, top right drawer in the desk. If you open the desk it is your job to put the new IT Daily Classroom Schedule for that day up and recycle the previous day's schedule. There will be no schedules printed for the weekend as there are no classes. In this case the person on Saturday should make sure the sign from Friday is recycled.

Is there a way to see scheduled classes in the library like in the Calipari room or computer labs? -Dan

To check rooms that the Library books (Calipari Room,  1620, 2601) have a supervisor check "LibWire"

To check rooms that are booked through IT just look at the classroom schedule posted in the lobby and you will see what classrooms are booked for what courses that day.
