The only place that we have newspapers and magazines is on the Lower Level. This unbound periodicals can circulate to UMass students for 24 hours. Newspapers however cannot leave the bulding.
If it is a student in a journalism class they will usually need to purchase their own copy. Papers are sold at the UStore and at the Newman Center on campus.

Are patrons allowed to "check-out" newspapers and periodicals?
No patron can take out newspapers. Periodicals can go out to some for a limited time to some. Check the Borrow and Renew list under the phone for more details.
Are Current Newspapers delivered every day?
No. Current Newspapers get delivered only Monday through Friday. Monday's delivery includes Saturday and Sunday. *All Current Newspapers are on the Lower Level and include papers like the Boston Globe and New York Times, just to name a few.
Is the Collegian the only daily newspaper offered in the Library?
On the Lower Level in
the Reading Area they have several daily newspapers. We have the Boston Globe,
Boston Herald, New York Times, Daily Hampshire Gazette, Springfield Republican,
and USA Today. We also have a small selection of other newspapers from other
states. These are a couple days behind because they take a few days to come.
