The LEAD Scale, or Info Desk Statistics are different starting this Fall:  There are now only 3 categories instead of 6!

A quick way to look at it is:

Rating #1 Quick and Easy (What used to be a 1 or 2 on previous scale)
Rating #2 Show and Tell, includes instruction on how to use the card catalog  (What used to be a 3 or 4 on previous scale)
Rating #3 This ranking should be rare, only used for exceptional cases of a super long transaction.

This is not much different as we usually did not get beyond a 3 anyway.  This is how the new form looks:

It is a lot less busy.  So as before: choose Info Desk, 1 or 2 or 3 of the scale, and contact type.  Ignore the rest!

Starting this semester we will be updating how we do statistics.  Instead of using categories for purpose of visit we will be rating the transaction based on the LEAD Scale.  Instruction can either be found HERE or under "Useful Links" as "Statistics Instructions".

A quick way to look at it is:

So you will need to choose the Info Desk, a LEAD scale number, and Contact Type.  You can either click on Submit or Submit and Clear.  The Submit is helpful when you are getting a lot of in person questions that are the same number.  Another nice feature is being able to add a number amount to the questions.  May help during a busy time in September.  You can ignore the rest of the form!!

****New Changes**** Desk Tracker

Desk Tracker is now easier.   Now when you sign in to the Desk Tracker (Info Desk Statistics) you do not need to pick from any drop downs.  You should go to "Info Desk Statistics" in the toolbar.  The information is already filled out you just need to click on "Submit".  At the next page click on "Continue", yeah!

Now when you sign in to Desk Tracker you do not need to pick from any drop downs. You should go to "Info Desk Statistics" in the toolbar. The information is already filled out you just need to click on "Submit". At the next page click on "Continue". Yeah!

Info Desk Statistics Update!

They have now fixed the Info Desk Statistics so that once you press "continue" it automatically brings you to the statistics page and eliminates one of the steps!

New Info Desk Statistics!

Starting on Monday, September 28th we will be taking statistics differently. We will be getting rid of the old paper statistic sheets and inputting statistics straight on the PC using Desk Tracker software. I will come around at the beginning of your first shift to show you how to use, log on and log out of the program.
