Who is in charge of the locked display cases in the elevator lobby?

Two of the cases are for Library use only. There is one that holds event posters that is maintained by the Signage Committee. If someone is trying to get an event sign posted in that glass case or the ones in the outer lobby please keep one of the signs. Then email me and leave the sign on the desk and I will take care of it. Another important point is that the event HAS to be a 5-College event.Any other flyers can be posted on the bulletin boards in the lobby or the lower level.

Can anyone post things on the bulletin boards in the lobby and LL, who maintains it, and how often are things removed? -Elizabeth

Anyone can post anything on those bulletin boards (I am sure though if someone walked by and saw something obscene it would soon come down.) The Info Desk supervisors do look over it every so often and take down flyers for events that have already happened.

Where are all the different places that you can hang up flyers in the Library? -Jena

Patrons can post anything on the bulletin boards that are in the lobby or the lower level. Any other flyers posted on walls or left on desks will be collected and recycled.

POSTERS

Just a reminder about posters and handouts. If someone comes in wanting to hang up a poster or flyer, let them know that there are bulletin boards to your left. 

If they want something to hang in one of the glass display cases in the outer lobby please take the poster from them and leave it for me with a note behind the desk. We will only post items in the cases that are for 5-College events ONLY.

If someone wants to leave handouts on the desk just check to make sure they are 5-College related. If they are not let them know that our policy is for only 5-College related materials. I will have to throw anything away that does not fall under this category.

Can people put posters up on the board in the Main Level?

Yes they can post posters on the bulletin boards located in the Entrance lobby or Lower level. Anyone can post anything (within reason) on these boards. They don't allow posters anywhere else in the building. If someone posts something anywhere else it will be removed!

Where can students go to put up a poster or flyer in the Library?

If someone comes in wanting to hang up a poster or flyer, let them know that there are bulletin boards right in the lobby. They can post flyers for anything here. They can also post them to the bulletin boards in the Learning Commons.
