Any suggestions for finding a book that says "Available" but is not in its place?

First thing check the location! It may be that it is in another library or some other special area like Reference or Reserve. It may also have a due date and be taken out. Books labeled "UM Science" are located at the Science and Engineering Library, not in Du Bois. If it says "W.E.B. Du Bois" as a location and is not there call Stacks Management at 5-3796. If no one is available or does not answer then request the item for the patron. It may take a few days for someone in the building to find the item.
