Where do people sign up to get an individual room on the upper floors at the library? What is the procedure they must follow? -Juan

To get a study carrel (these are the individual rooms that get checked out to someone for the academic year) they need to apply at the LC Desk. For more information about carrels and for the application to apply online patrons can go to http://www.library.umass.edu/services/borrowing/library-carrels/ These carrels are for Graduate students and Faculty only.

We also have open study carrels, they are available on the 7th and 10th Floor. These carrels have no doors on them.

For additional study space there is the 2nd and 5th floor quiet study space or all of the stack floors have study tables and chairs around the edge of the floor.
