The Teaching Commons opens on Wednesday, May 26th. The Libraries will host an Open House for faculty on that day from 2pm-5pm in the Teaching Commons on Floor 26. The program includes welcoming remarks at 2:30pm, followed by discussion and tours of the facility. Refreshments will be served.
What is the Teaching Commons? The Teaching Commons is a collaboration between the Center for Teaching, the Office of Faculty Development, and the UMass Amherst Libraries. It is a space for faculty to collaborate or work individually, equipped with computers and presentation equipment, on site assistance and faculty service referrals, comfortable seating, and a fantastic view.
What are the Teaching Commons hours? The Teaching Commons hours from May 26th through the summer are Monday to Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday 8am-4pm, and closed weekends. The fall hours are Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturday 9am-5pm and Sunday noon-5pm.
