It gives me great pleasure and sadness to deliver this news to you all. You have all been great student employees, I could not have asked for better. But for us our journey together is not over but it will change. As one of the final decisions Charlena Seymour, Provost and Senior Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs will make before she leaves the University is to make me the Director of Libraries! This will be a better paid job and have a nice office with an actual door. I am pretty psyched! I will however be taking one of you with me! The person I choose will become my personal assistant. I will let you know when the interviews will be held.
As for my replacement (I know what you are saying, impossible!) it will be Jay Schafer the current Director of Libraries. He may move on but with the current economy he is forced to take over for me. So please make sure you go easy on him, I am sort of a tough act to follow!
And don't worry I will not let all this power go to my head. (But lets just say in a few weeks the General Information Desk students will be making lots of money! Shhhh don't tell anyone.)
