I realized I may have forgotten to tell any of the new staff about Info Desk PC etiquette. So for some this is new information and for some a refresher.
Never download anything!! Our Systems Department gets very upset when they have to fix our PC because someone downloaded something that ends up messing up the PC. They also don't like to come and fix the PC when it won't shut down because it is full of games which are technically off limits. I personally don't mind if you can play a game and help people at the desk but do not play games that require you to download anything! If the Systems staff get really angry they could really put restrictions on this computer.
Don't save anything on to the PC unless it is temporary! I don't mind if you save a paper or item you are working on but you must either save it to a flash drive (I can show you how) or email it to your self before you leave for your shift.
