Is microfiche the same as microforms? And can books also be on the microforms, or is it just magazines and newspapers?

Microforms is a general term for all of the types of Microprint that exist. There is Microfiche, Microfilm, Microcard, and Microprint. The bulk of the collection is mostly magazines and newspapers. But the collection does have other items like people's personal papers, W.E.B. Du Bois papers, UMass theses, transcripts from the Lizzie Borden trial and other items. There are very few books in Microforms and if they do have them they are very old. But if we do have an item in Microforms it will say it in the catalog under the items location.
