Do you know if patrons can find a book via "Search 4 College" and then request the item from home?

Yes, a patron can actually request a book anywhere in the world as long as they have their NetID. It will arrive from the 5 College Libraries to the UMass Library in 2-3 business days. They can pick up requested items off the hold shelf and check them out at the LC Desk. If the library has their email address they will be notified via email when it has come in for pick up.
